Urilift

Public urination is a worldwide growing problem as many cities have closed down their public toilets whilst alcohol consumption at night is continuously growing.

This stainless steel structure has three urinals that rise from underground with a hydraulic lift. The funnel- like urinals are at the centre of the column, recessed so men can step into the structure for some privacy. Each stall is wired with an overhead light. The roof of the structure is designed to blend with the sidewalk when the Urilift is not in service. By day, the Urilift is lowered below street level for a nice clean look. Then at night, an operator comes by with a remote and the Urilift hydraulically lifts to sidewalk level in about two minutes.
